Some times when things gets real slow on your local lake you can sink a bale of Alfafa---cats and everything else really love it and a bale will keep em in the area upwards of three weeks while they tear it apart.

Do you find that you have a problem with dinks attacking your baits after broadcasting the pellets?

I buy mine at Walmart,,but feed stores have it to,,,I think the walmart brand name is wee friends or something like that. The alfafa pellets instantly turns to dust when it hits the water, leaving a huge scent cloud,,,something about the scent cloud turns the bait fish, (gills, carp, minnows etc) into party animals as they are flipping and rolling all night long....I guess they could be getting a "high" similar to cats on catnip. so with all the comotion going on it attracts the big predators like flatheads,,,I'm sure they can hear it a half a mile or more.
